Very helpful information! Although I'm curious will you offer rudder installed from factory option to your kayaks? I got scared at the idea of drilling through my kayak.

I just ordered my second one last night

I have had mine since 2019 and love it. My only (minor) complaint is that the cockpit in the original Bluefin 14 is a tad short for me and gets uncomfortable after a while and is now more of a 2nd/loaner boat. Which means that I'm finally planning to upgrade to the Bluefin 142 and looking forward to using it more than the original, which is still in fantastic condition

This video is brilliant and added a human face to the company. I talked to you a couple days ago and talked to you about my love/frustration with my Oru boat. I'll obviously still keep that boat for long hikes to alpine lakes and it's excellent for certain situations but falls short at times. I ordered a boat from you so that I would have a better boat for the majority of situations where I don't need to hike in a mile or more with something lighter. I didn't realize just how raw and grassroots your company is. I love it and can't wait to see if the tandem adaptor makes it to fruition. The idea of bigger and smaller boats is definitely something I would get behind too. Congrats on the success so far and I wish you much more in the future.

I like the explanation of the video, well done and nicely put together. The problem i have with this kayak is the amount of labor involved is the reason why i went with other products. It seems the system is too much of a labor point when throwing a simple normal kayak on the roof would seem almoat better even with thw added hassles of extra equipment and storage needed.

How do you do that if you’re short? Hard to reach.

Make it out of Thermoform and you have my attention. You would have a stronger, lighter, prettier, more efficient kayak.

I want to thank you guys for making a product that is usable for people without cars that still is safe to use all year round! The price is a bit steep but I look forward to buying one of them!

Built something similar 4 years ago. Only using 3 section's from fibre glass. My son keeps it in a cupboard in the house. Looks like a good product you have developed

Can a drop skeg be installed? I wouldn't need a rudder. My last kayak had both.

Thank you for this video! I wish you would have made a video on how to install the rudder. The printed manual that comes with the rudder package is..., sorry to be so honest, ... it is more than poor. I followed ikea manuals and chinese manuals in my life and never had such a poor manual. There a several steps insufficiently explained and some are even misleading. The small pictures could clarify those issues if you only could see something ... but there is black cords on black background. And btw, the majority on this planet uses the metric system. So when you export your product you could provide srews on a metric scale and use metric measures in the manual. Some people might also be happy about a translation of the manual into some of the most spoken languages, like French, Spanish, German and maybe Chinese. As you probably will see by my writing, I am not a native english speaker, and although I lived in the US long time ago, I had some problems to follow the manual. And there is one more thing: The lines for steering were too short. ... I really do not understand these issues since the Pakayak is such an ingenious design. Please provide your customers outside of your world (yes, there is something else than the US) with more useful information on how to install the rudder. You have made such a great kayak, be so kind and provide a more detailed manual for the rudder. Thanks so much.
